Louise Bretney, M.A., CCC-Sp
Speech Language Pathologist
Louise received her M.A. from California State University in Long Beach, CA, with a major in speech pathology and minor in audiology. Her clinical area of specialty is childhood speech/language development and service delivery in small group settings. Her research interests include accent reduction and modification.
She is a member of California Speech-Language-Hearing Association and American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has served as supervisor for speech language pathologists during their clinical fellowship years.
Louise is being considered for the 2006/2007 edition of the Metropolitan Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women in Healthcare “Honors Edition.”
Andrea Chan, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Andrea received her B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta in Canada. Her clinical areas of specialty includes working with children that have sensory processing difficulties and/or developmental delays, especially children with autism spectrum disorder. She also has experience in pre-feeding and feeding skills in children. Andrea wants to work with people that have injuries to their upper extremities and hands so she may “give people the skills for the job of living.” Her research interests include early intervention in pediatrics. In Canada, she has coached gymnastics and developed a gymnastics program for children with autism spectrum disorder. In addition, she has co-led a feeding group for children with autism.
She is a member of NBCOT, the California Board of Occupational Therapy and is certified in physical agent modalities (PAMS) and seating and positioning (in Canada).
Smit V. Gandhi, MPT
Physical Therapist
Smit received his bachelors and masters degrees in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in California. His area of specialty in clinical practice is geriatrics.
Smit is also a Clinical Regional Mentor for Interface Rehab, Inc.
Sara Grannis, DPT, OCS, ATC
Clinical Director
Sara received her B.A. in psychology, cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine. She received her clinical doctorate in physical therapy from University of Southern California. Her clinical and research areas of specialty include orthopedics, sports and dance. She also teaches ballet and pilates at Anaheim Ballet.
She has worked with large and small productions including “Bring in’Da Funk, Bring in ‘Da Noise,” “The Harlem Nutcracker,” “The Lion King,” “42nd Street,” and several Anaheim Ballet productions. In addition she has worked backstage at many area theaters including Ahmanson, The Music Center, The Pantages and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. She understands the needs of the performer as an artist and high-level athlete as well as the needs of the injured body. She is passionate about working with this specialized population and will travel to the theater ready with a table, modalities, tape and her manual skills.
Sara is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and National Athletic Trainers Association.
Leah Loyd, MPT
Physical Therapist
Leah attended Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee for undergraduate work and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Memphis with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. She has published research in the American Physical Therapy Association Journal. Her primary clinical and research interests include orthopedics, post-operative orthopedic procedures, various neurological disorders and traumatic brain injuries. Leah is dedicated to maintaining a superior level of quality care.
Silvia Ray, M.S., CCC-Sp
Speech Language Pathologist
Director of Pediatrics
Silvia received her B.S. degree from the University of Hannover in Germany and her M.S. degree in Communication Science and Education from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina.
Her clinical area of specialty is pediatrics, working in acute care and in the NICU, dysphagia, aphasia, mutism and autism. Her research interests include speech acquisition and cultural diversity.
She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She is also certified in the HANEN technique, which trains parents to be an integral part of the therapeutic process.
Corina Tieves, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Corina graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Cerritos College and has been practicing in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties for the past 25 years. She specializes in outpatient care and has a strong background in orthopedics and manual skills.
